Thanks to mobile data and broadcast service. Because of this services, all cellular operator in this world create the new standard. 3GPP GSMA support IMB (Integrated Mobile Broadcast), a tehcnology that enable to send services in spectrum base efficiently. IMB will be used in 3G license. Because of the limited user that can use this license, cellular operator also use UMTS and MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service).

Alex Sinclair (Chief Technology Officer, GSMA) said that IMB is created via collaboration of mobile industry and offer mobile operator a chance to start a new service for their consumer. We are very happy to support this technology and we hope that cellular operator service can be more flexible when use the new broadcast mobile standard.

In running this mission, GSMA colaborates with prominent mobile operator such as Orange, SingTel, Softbank, Telstra, T-Mobile, and Vodafone.
